The best female drone Instagram accounts for aerial inspiration

Drones aren’t just for the boys! These are some of the best, most creative and interesting drone accounts on Instagram, shot by women. This is by no means a comprehensive list, more like a starting point for the deep rabbit hole of amazing female-shot photography that I went down. I didn’t look for the biggest accounts, I looked for accounts with consistent and interesting perspectives.
Who are your favorite female droners?
Drone inspiration from female photographers
If you’re like me, you might be in a bunch of drone groups online and notice one thing that all of the other folks have in common – they’re men. All of the roundups of great drone accounts and great drone tips are men. And this has led some of these men, and, sadly, a lot of women to believe that drones are just for boys.

Well, obviously I’m going to start with myself! My primary channel is a mix of land and aerial photography as I aim to visit every country in the world. I have also started Art of Aerial on IG to have an account focused just on epic drone shots, both mine and features.

This account’s name is pretty self-explanatory. It’s an account full of features by women who drone, like this awesome shot by danasaur925 (seriously check out Dana’s account too – she has epic aerial and land shots).

If you’re looking for a wave of blue (go to her account, you’ll see the pun), check out Sandrine. I swear if you put on wave sounds and scrolled her account, you’d be at the beach.

I dare you to scroll through Merr’s feed and find a bluesy beach or surf shot you don’t like.

I never really thought I’d be typing the words drone nude photography, but can we all slow clap this one out? Hannah’s photography is a wow, on the ground or from the sky and with or without clothes.

Kara is a commercial remote pilot and what I personally like in her shots is the way that she frames them. This view from above would be impressive no matter what, but it’s the way that she created the shot that makes it a wow.

Frida’s shots include stunning landscapes and very cool isolations, like this one. She’s part of a traveling duo, but this account is all her own.

Nushaw’s drone account is young, but pure OC vibes. I dig her use of pattern and framing, with a consistent editing tone.

Elena’s account is a fun mix of color, both from land and above. She also created Women Who Drone.

Janet’s bright travel feed is mostly land shots, but she brings the drone along with on her travels and gets some serious gems.

Sabrina is a travel blogger who takes such fun photos and makes great videos, so she needs to be on the list now that she’s got a “new toy!”

Plus a few female droners who are part of duos, but still badass babes themselves
Just because a lady has a man on her arm (or IG account), doesn’t mean she isn’t still a woman with a drone and an eye for photography.

Victoria and Terrance’s style is so ethereal and cool and kinda dark and twisty and it’s why I love their shots. I think it’s even cooler that they manage to bring that same style into their aerial shots too. Victoria started a FB, group Girls Love Drones,

Margherita and Nick travel often and seemingly hike more. It can be hard to tell if the shots come up from the altitude they’ve climbed to, or sent the drone to.

Hannah and Adam have an epic travel account filled with colorful and light photos; the drone shots on their account have an airy feel and you should see the drone shots in their videos!

What’s up with a female list?
And a quick note on an all-female list; why focus on women? Isn’t that “separatist?” [yes, someone said that to me for making a comment about women who drone] In short, no. I’m all for promoting safe and responsible drone use among all genders, however, as with many areas of our lives, when people think that women just don’t participate, it’s important to help women be seen.
